Q: What typical questions do clients have?
- Can I retire and live with financial independence?

- How do I plan to make a large purchase, such as a boat, and how will that effect my other goals?
- How will real estate purchases effect my future financial situation?
- Major life changes/transitions-marriage, retirement, new jobs, relocation, divorce, death of a family member
- Will my family be protected if one of its members passes away?
- How do I leave money to my children?
- How can I donate to charities without compromising my financial security?
Q: What does your financial planning process look like?
A: Typically, I meet for an initial consultation to understand what you’re trying to accomplish and if I am a good fit for your needs. If you decide to move forward, I start analyzing your documents and develop a preliminary plan for you to review. Based on the preliminary plan, you will work with me to decide what makes the best sense for you. That’s when I finalize and deliver your comprehensive written plan. After that, it’s time to implement.
Q: Are you affiliated with any outside companies?
A: No.
Q: How are you compensated?
A: We charge an hourly rate. We do not sell any product nor do we receive any compensation if we need to refer you to another tactical professional.

How to Choose a planner
You should interview a planner for their background, experience, compensation structure and their process. One tool you can use is an interview checklist provided by the Certified Financial Planning Board of Standards. This is the board which creates the standards for CFP(R) practiioners.
